Every submitted manuscript is checked with plagiarism-detection software before review. MJFAR also screens for fabricated or falsified research and may re-check a paper at any stage.
- Manuscripts with a similarity index of 25% or more (excluding references) are rejected and the author is informed.
- If plagiarised content is found at any stage, including editing or proofreading, the author will be asked to rewrite the affected sections.
- Manipulating data, tables or images is research misconduct and leads to rejection or retraction.
- Suspected plagiarism or duplicate publication is handled according to the journal's code of conduct.
