Manuscripts must be original, unpublished and not under consideration by any other journal. Submit through the online manuscript system; you will receive a paper ID and can track every stage from your dashboard.
Format
- Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx). PDF is accepted for review, but the editable file is required after acceptance.
- Generally 5–15 pages. Shorter or longer manuscripts may be accepted when the content justifies it.
- Written in clear English and formatted using the journal template.
Structure
Title, abstract (no more than 200 words, self-contained and without citations), 4–10 keywords, abbreviations, introduction (concise, without subheadings), materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements (optional), references, figures and tables.
Anonymous manuscript (double-blind review)
When the journal runs double-blind review, upload two files: a title page with all author names, affiliations, emails and the corresponding author's details, and an anonymised manuscript with every name, affiliation, acknowledgement and self-identifying reference removed. Cite your own earlier work in the third person.
References
Number references in square brackets in order of first citation, e.g. [1], [2]. Journal article: Author A, Author B. Title of the article. Journal Name. Year; Volume(Issue): pages.
Figures and tables
Place figures and tables in the main file and also upload each as a separate supplementary file. Give every table a descriptive title and put units in the column headings.
Withdrawal
An article may be withdrawn before publication with a statement signed by all co-authors. Fees are not refunded once an article has been published or withdrawn after acceptance.
